Every desk sees 400 BTC move onto an exchange. Almost nobody sees who moved it. BlockQuery names the entity on both sides of an on-chain flow, delivered as data you own and run against your own models.

What moved, not who moved it
On-chain data shows you the amount, the direction and the block. It does not tell you the desk, the fund or the treasury standing behind the address.
Exchange coverage is a commodity
Public explorers name the large exchanges. Past them, visibility falls away: the OTC desks, the regional venues, the funds. That is exactly where the informative flow sits.
You find out too late
By the time the counterparty is clear, the market has already moved. The signal was on-chain the whole time. You just could not read it.

Point-in-time attribution
Your backtest should only know what you knew.
Entity attribution improves over time. You might discover months later that a wallet belonged to an OTC desk. If a vendor serves you everything it knows today across a historical window, your backtest is quietly contaminated. It trades on knowledge that did not exist at the time.
The result looks excellent, you deploy it, and it fails live.
BlockQuery timestamps when each attribution was established. Query March 2025 and you see what was knowable in March 2025. Your backtest reflects a signal you could actually have traded.
